Abstrak
At this time, technology advances so rapidly. Likewise with information system technology. The sales information system in Pondok Beringin Restaurant is still a manual system, which causes inadequate service problems. The system for recording orders and payment transactions, the number of income reports that are still written in notes, the calculation process is still using a calculator and also the amount of material inventory that is still checked manually with an iterative process. The work process is slow so that a sales information system design is required. So in this study a sales information system is created that can make it easier to manage the ordering process, manage the available menus and manage sales transactions at Pondok Beringin Restaurant. The system development method used in this research is the prototyping method with the stages of gathering needs, designing, and evaluating the prototype. The system modeling design will be made using structured modeling, namely DFD (Data Flow Diagram), data dictionary, ERD (Entity Realtionship Diagram), and STD (State Transition Diagram). The purpose of this research is to design a sales information system that is able to simplify the ordering process, check available menu stock, add right menu, drink menu and table, process transactions and also make it easier to record optimal, effective and efficient reports for restaurant owners.
