A hotel is a temporary accommodation for people in need of a place to stay for a while. A good hotel will attract many people to choose it as their temporary lodging. The limited availability of room reservation information usually complicates matters for the public or customers in knowing and competing with other competitors. By utilizing information technology, a hotel needs an online room reservation information system as one of its essential features to simplify the tasks of hotel staff and customers. The data collection methods used in this research are interviews, observations, literature reviews, and for software development, the Waterfall method is used, supported by HTML, CSS programming languages, and PHP and MySQL for database design and management. With a hotel room reservation service application, customers are facilitated in making hotel room reservations, making it easier for booking and administrative processes, thus providing better satisfaction to customers. It also makes it easier for hotel staff in recording, processing data, and generating reports. The expected outcome of this research is to produce a mobile application and website for hotel room reservations that are easy to use, thus facilitating customers and simplifying the work of hotel staff at Brenda Kotamobagu Hotel.
