Publication Ethics
MATRIX Journal is committed to maintaining the integrity, quality, and ethics of scientific publication in accordance with academic standards and transparency principles in scholarly publishing. All parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, and authors, are required to comply with the following publication ethics.
1. Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under review in another journal. Authors are required to present research data honestly, objectively, and accurately without data manipulation or plagiarism.
Authors are also required to:
- Properly acknowledge and cite all references.
- Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, and data falsification.
- Ensure that all contributors are listed as authors.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Be willing to revise the manuscript based on reviewers’ and editors’ feedback.
Articles proven to contain plagiarism or violations of publication ethics will be rejected or retracted.
2. Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for determining which articles are eligible for publication based on scientific quality, originality, relevance, and contribution to the advancement of science and technology.
Editors are required to:
- Act objectively and fairly without discrimination.
- Maintain the confidentiality of authors and reviewers.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Ensure that the review process is conducted professionally and transparently.
- Make publication decisions based on scholarly review results.
3. Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors in evaluating the quality of manuscripts objectively and professionally through the peer review process. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of scientific articles.
Reviewers are required to:
- Maintain the confidentiality of reviewed manuscripts.
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively and academically.
- Report any indication of plagiarism or ethical misconduct to the editor.
- Avoid conflicts of interest regarding the reviewed manuscript.
- Complete the review process within the assigned timeframe.
4. Publication Decisions
Publication decisions are made by the editor based on the review process, scientific quality, research contribution, and suitability with the journal’s focus and scope. The editor has the right to accept, request revisions, or reject submitted manuscripts.
5. Plagiarism Policy
MATRIX Journal applies a strict anti-plagiarism policy to all submitted manuscripts. Each manuscript will be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the review process. Manuscripts exceeding the journal’s similarity threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
6. Open Access Policy
MATRIX Journal supports an open access policy to promote the global dissemination of knowledge. All published articles are freely accessible for academic, research, and scientific development purposes.
7. Ethical Oversight
Research involving humans, organizations, or sensitive data must be conducted in accordance with research ethics principles and obtain the necessary permissions from relevant parties. Authors are fully responsible for the content and impact of the published articles.
8. Retraction and Correction
The editor reserves the right to issue corrections, clarifications, or retract articles if publication ethics violations, data errors, plagiarism, or other academic misconduct are identified after publication.
